To annul the unit of culture seems distinct from its unity; its steady lattice; the negation of reductionist axioms. It situates existential logic in nothingness; puts rationalist projects at risk. Omnipresent cultural intercourse belies shared commitment to suffrage: it ballyhoos; renders impotent, the Enlightenment. Or does it?
We balkanize culture contrary to our declared stance on human rights: universal and nonnegotiable. Yet, subjective logic models trust networks; freedom manifests in reasonable confines. That every home asserts its culture does not thus nullify our pledge to a weltanschauung. The question though is: wherefrom universal truth?
Uncertainty is certain as is verisimilitude. Our reality rooted in culture is a veneer we yet unabashedly proclaim, the truth: but it is just an aspect of a culture universe. It may suit strategic intent: it is not a moral index. It secures or imperils our liberty; a veritable epistemic link to an eternal consciousness chain; our choice.
We calque and pidginize, the ensuing syntactico-semantics, framework for our inevitable taxonomic spread. The progressive shift in our cognitive structure is thus toward commonality: the relative transitions to the universal. Hence it is pleonastic to agonize over which of foxes or hedgehogs prevail in our epic quest for ontological enlightenment.
Our transience impels us to allay a ruthless angst; our way; with empirical or rationalistic tools; even within cyclical and spiral frames. We do so in cacophonous strife, as if predestined. Causation thus assumes variegated strains, existence, truncated to accommodate the angst in a pious orgy that renders life redolent; certainty, tolerable.
Yet, mores soon start to blend ever more, conation to coincide. Strategic intent becomes shared exigencies as our seemingly discordant working tools reveal eternal taxonomic sameness; our transient contraption plain; the consciousness chain, real.
The concordance of worldviews informs shared interests and fosters insight into our common destiny; which we then zealously pursue. Conflict becomes redundant; peace, ascendant. Life is more worth living. We care more about ourselves, other people, and about our planet; morality, universal. We embrace universal values that complement our current worldview from which we eschew those incongruent with the shared universals.
A revision of our reading of and relations with the world is thus pertinent and urgent, given the aforesaid inevitable cultural accord: lest the unity is a little late; our sustenance pool being exhaustible. Our fragmented perspectives thus need integrating; our inescapable bidirectional ontology even now in motion, needs accelerating. In other words, in progress is an incremental cultural evolution with the assimilation of diverse perspectives in the transition toward universal consciousness; and it is necessarily synergistic.
Integration needs to start early in life. The inculcation in our youths of the heuristics of diversity is crucial. It is the essential driver of adaptive conative intent. Thus, an appreciation of our common ancestry and destiny at an early age enhances the prospects of incremental paradigm shifts in generational culture; an epiphenomenon of enormous evolutional import.
Besides exploring contiguous cultures, cross-border commonalities in worldviews are natural change repositories; religious, political, sub-cultural, philosophical, and sundry beliefs and faiths veritable wellsprings of integration dyads. And, particularly with young people, so are music, sports, theatre, technology, and assorted arts and entertainment.
A steady incremental process thus integrates even the most dissimilar worldviews. This is in keeping with our tendency in the main to live rather than expire, which respect and not contempt for peoples and cultures different from us and ours complements.
Consensus on morality would no doubt emerge in time; a universal in both ideal and practice. This is the foreseeable consequence of a collective worldview along whose path we tread. We would not just be free from the bondage of a wicked angst; we would be free to determine our destiny; the common destiny of convergent worldviews ever more self-evident.
Yet, we must be cognizant of the crucial role that youths would play in the transition; the future being theirs; the need for patent congruity between what they imbibe and perceive, beyond question. Further, being interactive precludes malicious ideologues and their ilk commandeering the integration process; and with participation being discretionary, transparent congruity forges legitimacy.
It is therefore moot that recoil from value judgements exculpates enculturation in our body politic; its context in a larger realm, what to ponder; the interface of culture and morals ultimately an inexorable dyad. Our goal thus is to speed things up; to prolong the inordinate yet needless pain of an unforgiving generational angst, unconscionable; why we must breed in the blind through which we see, scandalous.
We delude confident to faze the youths; not when on who we so much rely. Thus, we should be archetypal, not monstrous preceptors: our deed should mirror our creed; our creed consistently consistent with progress along the universal consciousness chain.
That entrenched dated perspectives linger should not retard progress: it is the critical tool to foster change in obstinate ideologues; revelations of the confluence of mores in due course sure to permeate the most acrylic core; succession of youths inheriting an increasingly universal worldview.
For now we have a part to play, to make the objet d'art of culture history; that which served its heyday with distinction wrought in misery; to languish in obscure parlance, puerile. So, let’s go on: pidginize. Let’s build novel synctatico-semantics for a new reality; one befitting our station along the continuum of consciousness.
Our fight for survival as persons becomes even more glorious as that for the survival of humanity; it should therefore be at once relative and universal. Its eventual universality imbues the relative or transient with more verve, and meaning; neutralizing the depraved angst that torments us into the nothingness that in turn aggravates our terror and our pain.
Thus, we transition inescapably from tainted provincialism to a new enlightenment; an amalgam of convergent relative truths. Hence, our deeds elucidate the freedom we crave; reason to celebrate our transience; not fear it. Our new weltanschauung fosters self-analysis, and frees fear; us; an emotion that has come to define us, individually and collectively, erased; our venetian blind, banished, for ever.
